Whole Life Cost Specialist

We are a sector focused business actively operating and investing in Infrastructure, Commercial, Residential, Education, Health, Sports, Nuclear and Retail clients and projects. We work in close contact with our clients, advising them on financial, programme, procurement, risk and contractual matters that arise during the project.
We are currently recruiting Whole Life Cost Specialist to join the Infrastructure Team and wider Advisory Business.
The role would involve supporting business generation activities for the Infrastructure Team, such as bid writing and development of marketing material for Whole Life Cost.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing commissions
- Providing professional support, guidance and leadership as required to direct reports
- Form strong working relationships with clients, identifying and resolving client challenges
- Managing and supporting team members in day to day task delivery
- Developing of whole lifecycle methods and models and option appraisal tailored to client/project need
- Researching, data gathering and analysing information quickly and efficiently
- Using expertise in Infrastructure to apply sector environment intelligence - research and analysis, risk profile, sector benchmarking
- Operating effectively within a co-located environment integrated with the Client, other Consultants and Contractors’ project delivery teams (as required)
- Producing high-quality technical outputs for clients, including models, presentations, reports and datasets
- Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently to complete tasks and activities and take responsibility for their own time management/deadlines and will have:
- Infrastructure background in at least one of the following sectors: water, gas, power, rail, light rail/trams, highways, environmental, regulated industries
- Background of helping clients to understand the total cost of their design solutions and assets, as well as where they can drive efficiency i.e. Capital planning, supporting BREEAM awards, funding advice
- Preferably degree qualified in a relevant discipline to the role
- Commercial expertise, ideally within a consultancy or client environment
- Knowledge of whole life and life cycle costing in construction/infrastructure
- Ability to work with large volumes of data in the preparation of reports and economic appraisals
- Use of WLC software and Microsoft suite
- Have a familiarity with PD 156865:2017 Standardised method of life cycle costing and ISO 15686-5
